As the country grapples with the insecurity menace, so many thoughts come to mind. What is the future of the unborn generation ?What is the guarantee of their safety?
I was watching a clip taken at a refugee camp in one of the troubled states in Northern Nigeria and tears filled my eyes.A nursing mother who apparently had put to bed before the bombs hit her home had laid her baby on a cellophane bag on the bare floor and battled to clean her up.She had used a handkerchief to tie the baby and was tearing some pieces of old clothes to be used as diapers not minding the health implications. While many scrambled for space in the crowded school turned refugee camp, the role of motherhood in the midst of crisis went unabated.
pls lets hear your views on the safety of pregnant and nursing mothers at the troubled warfronts.
